


Harden to the Cubs
The Oakland A's today traded right-handed pitchers Rich Harden and Chad Gaudin to the Chicago Cubs for right-handed pitcher Sean Gallagher, catcher Josh Donaldson, infielder Eric Patterson and outfielder Matt Murton. Baseball America rated the 22 year-old Gallagher and Donaldson the Cubs' #5 and # 7 prospects, respectively.
White Sox Closer Headed to DL
The White Sox will not be taking any chances with closer Bobby Jenks, making the decision to send him to the 15-Day DL after the big guy expressed discomfort throwing from the mound in the bullpen. Jenks has no doubts that he will be back at 100% after the All-Star break.
Yankees Looking at Zambrano
Victor, that is. The New York Yankees desperately need starting pitching, and rumors say they are interested in Victor Zambrano. He who pitched for Toronto last season but has not pitched in the majors at all this season. If this is how the Yankees plan on improving, they can forget catching the Sox and Rays.
Brett Myers Solid In Triple-A Start
If Brett Myers pitches anything like he did Monday night against Homer Bailey in his next two starts, the Phillies should expect him back with the team shortly after the All-Star break. Myers was dominate in the Lehigh Valley IronPigs win, scattering seven hits and allowing two runs over the span of 7.1 innings.
