Pizza Cutter is working on coming up with a defense system that works with Retrosheet data. Looking at ground ball singles and data from the 1993-1998 seasons (seasons which Retrosheet has hit location data), he tries to assign the proper amount of blame infielders should take when the ball reaches the outfield.
