The Hardball Times published the third piece in their series entitled "Beyond Moneyball," aimed at going beyond the statistics which have become so vital to today's game.  This time, they attempt to explain the theory behind the decision making that goes into choosing players and the relative indifference between those who choose players based on stats, and those who choose based on other factors.
