Baseball Prospectus wrote an interesting piece this morning, taking the stance that Tim Beckham was selected number one overall because of the huge amount of money that catching prospect Buster Posey demanded.  Sure, Beckham's talented, but a great hitting catcher is the rarest combination in the major leagues.
