The St. Louis Cardinals said that Joe Mather would get called up from AAA Memphis if, and this is a big if, Rick Ankiel goes on the DL. It looks like Ankiel has cleared that hump, but it hasn't gotten Mather down. His 9th inning homerun, the 5th in as many starts, won the game. Hopefully, Mather will get another chance soon.
