Place hitting is a talent few batters can claim to have. It is hard to grasp the concept that place hitting even exists when just hitting the ball is so hard on its own. As most batters aim for hitting into a gap or pulling or pushing a hit, it seems that it is most likely to discover the existence of this skill in relation to certain situations on the field.
