Cincinnati Reds shortstop Jeff Keppinger fractured his left kneecap in Tuesday's game against the Marlins. Keppinger fouled a ball off the knee in the second inning and was later lifted for a pinch hitter. Although no roster moves were made immediately, Triple-A shortstop Paul Janish was told he would be called up.
