Jason Isringhausen, Cardinals, and Eric Ganges, Brewers, have both opted out of their closer position. Isringhausen said he was pitching like a second grader and Ganges says he doesn't deserve the spot. Do players have the right to give up their responsibilities when they're slumping? A manger removing a player is one thing; a player removing himself is another. It's a dangerous precedent to start.
