There is much more to baseball than the sport itself. At the majors, the sport is very much a business as well. A team’s value is very much related to, among other factors, its fan base and even its stadium. Many factors go into each transaction owners and managers make for their teams, which ultimately lead to their popularity, and most importantly, success, financially and on the field.
