With the first month of the season in the books, several teams have exceeded expectations while others have fallen flat on their faces. The St. Louis Cardinals, preseason favorites to end up in the bottom half of the NL Central, finished April with an impressive 18-11 record, while others like the Yankees and Orioles have struggled.
