It’s been a long strange trip for Brewers’ Double-A prospect Matt LaPorta, but he has finally reached the goal towards which he has been striving for so long. He denied to 14th round draft selections and opted to remain at the University of Florida. After his numbers suffered his junior year due to a strained oblique, he posted phenomenal numbers his senior season, and is now showing great promise as a strong batter in the minors .
