Hall-of-famer Tony Gwynn had a grand plan when he took the head coaching job at San Diego State University seven years ago.  He wanted to turn SDSU into a collegiate baseball power.  But, thus far, Gwynn's reign has been a disappointment.  But that could change this year, as SDSU appears to be headed for a playoff berth.
