Nate Silver of baseballprospectus.com discusses the non-steroid explanation of how the two under-producing homerun hitters, Kirby Puckett (0) and Gary Gaetti (5), of 1984 helped lead the Minnesota Twins to the 1987 World Series Championship. It's a good look at the statistics involved with the two players and has less to do with unfounded speculation.
