How do umpires judge what a strike is and isn't? I mean come on, the ball is coming in at at least 90 mph for the straight ones, and mid low 80's for the benders. That can't be easy to see. Dan Turkenkopf believes factors from the pitcher's age to whether the team is home or away affect how the umps call pitches.
