Pirates' president, Frank Coonelly said the club would consider "releasing a player who cannot help the team win, even if such a release would be expensive." Though the club hasn't given up hope on him (Manager John Russell said he was a "class act" and working hard), Morris must feel the pressure building with remarks like that in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
