The Arizona Diamondbacks, former laughing stocks of the National League, improved their record to 14-5 on Monday with a victory over the Giants. Their record now sets them at the top of the majors , surprising many, except themselves. The Diamondbacks are finally one of the top teams in the league and so far appear to be a contender to go deep into post season play.

Pitching, pitching. After getting to the NLCS with a young team last season, plus Dan Haren, it's not so surprising that the D-Backs are doing so well. They should run away with the division.
