One day after being benched, designated hitter Frank Thomas has been cut by the Toronto Blue Jays by "mutual consent." Thomas batted .167 with three homers - coming in three straight games April 5-8 - and 11 RBIs for the Blue Jays this year. Thomas' release came one day after he voiced frustration about having to sit on the bench.
