Cy Young

Sabathia was clearly better than Beckett in the last part of last year's regular season. It's lunacy to say that his Cy Young should be taken away because he pitched poorly the following year. If this were the case, every award would eventually be taken away, thus making the award system illegitimate.

i agree. theres an extent to which the post season shows who really has their stuff together, which beckett did. i think its ridiculous that CC won it last year after getting torn up by boston in the post season.

Cy Young Winner???

This is just another example of how CC Sabathia stole the Cy Young from Josh Beckett in 2007. Beckett had comparable - if not better - stats throughout the season and was lights out in October, when it really counted. Now it seems that CC's arm has basically fallen off. Take back the Cy and give it to Beckett, the guy who really deserved it!
