Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman James Loney extended his hitting steak to 14 last night against Pittsburgh. The longest streak to start the season by a Dodger is 21 by Steve Garvey in 1978. Loney, 23, is batting .365, and after nearly 500 career at bats is batting .328. He should remain among the game's best hitters this year.
