Catcher Jorge Posada has called the majority of Joba Chamberlain's appearances, so it seems like he knows the pitcher the best on the Yankees. With this in mind, his request/advice that the team keep the young right-hander in the bullpen should hold a relatively large amount of sway with the team.
The reason that Posada says the Yanks should keep Chamberlain in the bullpen is because he thinks that Joba is more likely to get hurt in the starting rotation - because of how hard he throws, the amount of innings throwing every fifth day requires and a host of other reasons.
