Rangers second baseman Ian Kinsler has officially put an end to his 2008 season by opting to undergo surgery for his sports hernia. In Kinsler's mind, it was the only option that made sense, given that this type of injury would bother him for the rest of his career if not dealt with now. Kinsler's production will be greatly missed by both the rangers and fantasy owners, especially his 26 stolen bases.
