Ryan Howard has largely been a disappointment this season (except for his outlandish power numbers), especially his defensive work.  The Beerleaguer blog breaks down Howard's regression from a defensive perspective, and argues that to become a better fielder, he must make better mental decisions. This could be a huge story down the road in the race to the playoffs, and definitely if the Phillies make the playoffs.
