That headline, in a normal managerial situation, means that Joe Crede and Ozzie Guillen have been informed by the team's doctors that he is done for the season. But, in the case of the White Sox with Ozzie Guillen at the healm, it appears that there isn't a consensus in the White Sox' organization about the status of Crede.
On the one hand, Guillen says that the opening day third baseman is done for the season. During Tuesday's game against Cleveland, Guillen pulled Crede in the fifth inning for Juan Uribe. At the moment, the move appeared a bit puzzling because Crede wasn't apparently hurt. And now, Crede says that he is simply day-to-day with back problems, but is in no way out for the year. We'll see soon who's correct.
