Dodgers 2B Jeff Kent had surgery to remove debris from a cartilage tear in his knee on Tuesday morning and will begin rehab on Wednesday. Kent is hoping to return as early as this month, but this is the 8th DL stint in his 17 year MLB career. Kent will be 41 next March and has not made any official statements about next season, but what is for certain is how badly the Dodgers need him healthy for the final stretch of the regualr season.
