John Smoltz was added to the TBS Postseason announcing team Monday, where he will serve as an on-air color analyst, according to Sports Business Journal. This is not likely a big deal in terms of whether Smoltz will return to the Braves in 2009. There's no word, at this point, about who Smoltz will join in the booth, but he seems like he would be a very good analyst for TBS.
Those who watch Braves games on the Peachtree Network also say that Smoltz has been very good and enjoying himself a great deal while broadcasting on that network. This allegedly brought on the TBS job, and broadcasting could very well be Smoltz's second career.
