The rumor, as written in the Boston Globe, is that the Nationals could be one of the teams to pursue Manny Ramirez after this season. The reasons are that Jim Bowden is a huge fan of Ramirez (calling him one of the two best hitters he has seen, along with Barry Bonds) and the Nats need to make a splash to hold interest in their club one year after they opened their new stadium.
