Tampa Bay breakout rookie Evan Longoria is progressing steadily in rehab and hopes to return to action by the beginning of September. Longoria is expected to start throwing and hitting this week in rehab. Even though the Rays currently sit on top in the AL East, they could certainly use Longoria's 22 home runs and 71 RBI's.
