The day before the trade deadline ended, the Rockies said that they were going to hold on to Matt Holliday and Brian Fuentes, who had long been a trade target for teams in contention. Well, the Dodgers acquired Manny Ramirez and the Diamondbacks have played much better since the deadline and now the Rockies are reportedly looking to trade Fuentes and centerfielder Wily Taveras by placing them on waivers since they are out of contention.
