New York Mets starting pitcher John Maine may not see the rotation again until mid September. Maine was placed on the 15-day DL with a bone spur in his right shoulder and will not throw at all for at least 2 weeks. Maine averaged almost 8 K's per 9 innings so the Mets will be hard pressed to find a viable replacement.
