Politics make it hard for connection-less Japanese men to become umpires in their baseball leagues. Six such men have traveled to the U.S. to become umpires in the Minor Leagues, hoping to make it big in the Majors. A Japanese director and an American producer teamed up to film a documentary about these men. They'll be showing "Samurai Umpires in the USA" in independent film festivals before pitching it to U.S. and Japanese T.V. networks.
