The Book wrote this, which we missed yesterday. Reacting to the Paul Byrd trade to Boston, they prove that the Red Sox made a horrible mistake by using statistics. And by lining up Paul Byrd's NERC versus Clay Buchholz, this is obviously the case. Factoring in the age of both pitchers (22 vs. 39), I am also confounded to why the Red Sox would insert Byrd into their rotation.
