Cardinals RHP Chris Carpenter will miss his next start with a muscle strain in his right shoulder. Carpenter already missed the entire first half of the season due to injury, so naturally the Cardinals want to be cautious with anything else that arises. As of now, there is no timetable on his return date but with an MRI showing no rotator cuff issues, he should not miss much time.
