The Reds manager Dusty Baker put it best by saying, “Well, he came here to play.” He being Chris Dickerson, a 26-year-old outfielder whose Major League debut had him batting in the lead off spot and playing left field in his first possible game. He’s replacing Adam Dunn who was traded to the Diamondbacks. He managed a walk in his first at-bat and stole second soon after.
