The Tampa Bay Rays placed OF Carl Crawford on the 15-day dl Sunday after he suffered an injury to his right middle finger the night before. Crawford started the season a bit slow offensively but had been picking it up lately, batting .349 with 5 triples during an 11 game hit streak leading up to the injury.
