The mystery team that claimed Brian Giles was the Red Sox, and at this hour, they are working on a deal to bring the 37-year-old to Boston. The Red Sox desire to bring in Giles is somewhat puzzling, however, because Giles would join a crowded outfield that includes Jason Bay, Jacoby Ellsbury, J.D. Drew and Coco Crisp.  Update: The Red Sox missed on Giles, and now are apparently OK with it.
