Seattle manager Jim Riggleman made the announcement Tuesday that most have expected for the last few days. JJ Putz will re-take his role as the team's closer from Brandon Morrow. Morrow was then sent to Triple-A where, over the next 2-3 weeks, he will stretch out his pitch count to become a starter for the Mariners.
