Jason Giambi shaved his mustache Monday in the attempt to break out of his prolonged slump (The slugger has hit .182 since July 3) . The most-beloved piece of hair since Steve Carrell's chest hair in the 40-Year-Old Virgin was, according to Giambi, tapped out of hits.

"There's no more hits in it," Giambi said as he boarded a plane to Arlington, Texas. "No more hits."

And guess what? In the first game since Giambi shaved his facial hair, he went 3-4 with two RBIs. Giambi also went on to say that he will grow it back, so thank God for that.
