While promoting his charity bowling tournament in a radio interview on WMVP-1000, Kerry Wood said that he is ready to return to the team. Lou Piniella also said that the Cubs closer is healthy and ready to return, and said that Wood will be activated either Tuesday or Wednesday. Wood will take over the closer's role from Carlos Marmol, who has been solid in his absence.

Update: Wood will return to the team Tuesday against Houston.
