It wasn't a normal game for George Kontos, who, after nearly being traded to the Pirates in the Nardy trade, wanted to beat the Pirate's affiliate Altoona Curve . He went eight scoreless innings with a career high 13 strikeouts and allowing one hit. Unfortunately, the rest of the team didn't catch on and the Curve won 1-0.
