The Astros acquired reliever LaTroy Hawkins from the Yankees for Single-A second baseman Matt Cusick Wednesday night. Hawkins, who has struggled this season with a 5.71 ERA, was designated for assignment Saturday in order to make room on the roster for then-newly acquired Damaso Marte.
