This rumor seems to be never-ending, but the Mets are once again considering moving Aaron Heilman into their rotation. Heilman has found has suceeded with the Mets as a hard-throwing reliever, but, as the Yankees found out with Joba Chamberlain, pitchers are much more valuable starting games.  After throwing three innings Saturday, Jerry Manuel was advised not to throw the right-hander for the second night-in-a-row Monday. But he didn't listen, and threw Heilman two innings in the Mets' win.  In the future, if Manuel continues to stretch Heilman's pitch count and give him the proper rest in preperation for a start, the front office says that he could now use Heilman as a starter if he so pleased.

Whether Manuel will is a different story. But don't be surprised to see Heilman moved into the starting rotation (making him worthy of a fantasy pick-up) if Pedro Martinez misses another start with family/injury problems, John Maine misses a start due to his rotator cuff strain or if the Mets acquire Huston Street (as has been rumored over the last 24 hours).
