A mere 12 hours ago, it appeared that the Diamondbacks would acquire Mark Teixeira because the Angels wouldn't part with Casey Kotchman for a two-month rental player. Well, a half-a-day and another trouncing of Boston later, the Angels decided to deal Kotchman and Stephen Marek to Atlanta for Teixeira, one of the best first basemen in the game.
