Pittsburgh's Adam LaRoche is expected to be placed on the disabled list today, just two days after straining his rib cage. This is terrible news for LaRoche owners, who had been reeping the benefits of the first baseman hitting .390 with seven home runs and 18 RBIs in July. Doug Mientkiewicz will replace LaRoche at first.
