None other than the Arizona Diamondbacks, according to Foxsports.com's Ken Rosenthal. The reason is that Diamondbacks' offer revolves around Chad Tracy (go figure), who is the best first baseman the Braves would receive in return for Mark Teixeira. The key to the trade, in the long-term context, will be Arizona's ability to sign Teixeira to an extension instead of letting him walk at the end of the season, which seems plausible. Other (lesser) candidates to land the first baseman are: the Angels (who are reluctant to part with Casey Kotchman, and reportedly are unlikely to acquire another hitter before the deadline), Red Sox (who don't appear willing to give up Kevin Youklis, and also appear to be set heading forward), Dodgers (who don't want to sacrifice four more years with James Loney for two months with Mark Teixeira) and the Rays (who would willingly give up Carlos Pena, except Atlanta doesn't wan't such a highly paid, inconsistent player).
