In the NFL, a helmet-to-helmet hit is a fifteen-yard penalty and typically results in a fine for the guilty party. Well, Brian McCann took the brunt of a helmet-to-helmet collision at home plate against the Phillies' Shane Victorino, and was diagnosed with a concussion after Sunday's game. And it appears that Victorino won't be fined. But even though the All-Star had a headache after the game, it seems like he isn't likely headed to the disabled list. Chipper Jones, on the other hand, seems likely to be placed on the list in the coming days with another leg injury.
