It isn't the partial tear in Dustin's McGowan's rotator cuff from last September that ended his season, but surgery on the fraying of the labrum in his shoulder. While under the knife, doctors will look at the rotator cuff to make sure it isn't worse. If nothing's wrong with it, McGowan will hopefully be back next spring, but no sooner.
