The Washington Nationals demoted Johnny Estrada, a move that forced his release him from the team. Estrada had struggled throughout the year with a right elbow injury, which has hurt both his defense and offense. With his release, Estrada's acquisition by the Nationals in the offseason can now be classified as an utter failure.
