"Don't worry, he was horrid last spring too, but his fall was amazing; it'll be the same this year" seems to be bandied about as if it was a fact of baseball. Unfortunately, one season of seesaw play doesn't make a true first or second half player. Here's a list of potential half'ers; if your guy(s) isn't on it, don't count on him collapsing or heating, as appropriate.
