Even though Joe Crede has a history of back pain and will be a free agent after this year, White Sox Kenny Williams is reportedly leaning toward trading third base prospect Josh Fields for pitching help. Fields is one of the White Sox' highest rated prospects, was very good last year in Crede's absence and has been solid in the minor leagues so far this year. But with the Twins bearing down on Chicago in the AL Central, and this year seemingly as wide open as ever - Williams and Ozzie Guillen, according to the Chicago Sun-Times, seem to believe that they need more pitching help.
