Alex Rodriguez, during a time where he is the main target of New York City's tabloids, signed with William Morris Agency, which is a major Hollywood talent agency.  The agency, which represents the likes of Russell Crowe and Denzel Washington, also deals with athletes Vince Young, Kevin Garnett and Serena Williams. 

The purpose of Rodriguez signing with William Morris is not to deal with the ongoing Madonna issue (if that's what you'd like to call it), but rather to try to get more corporate sponsors, specifically foreign companies.  Last year, Rodriguez notably left Scott Boras out of his negotiations with the Yankees, which in essence, fired the superagent.
